K-City: South Korea and UAE's New Cultural & Tech Mega Project

South Korea and the UAE are launching one of the most unique collaborations of 2025 — K-City, a mega project planned to bring the full Korean cultural experience into the Middle East. Led by South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, the project combines K-culture, entertainment, food, education, and advanced industries like AI and future tech in one integrated city.
K-City is designed as more than a tourist attraction. It will serve as a strategic economic hub, supporting areas such as AI data centers, defense technology, digital innovation, and cultural exchange. Analysts expect the partnership to generate massive economic value, with K-culture alone projected to reach over $70 billion by 2030.
For the UAE, K-City supports its vision of becoming a global destination for culture, technology, and tourism. For South Korea, it’s an opportunity to expand its global influence by merging soft power (K-pop, K-drama, K-food) with high-tech industries.
