Expo Centre Sharjah Achieves Milestone: 80 Exhibitions and 3 Million Visitors in 2024

In 2024, Expo Centre Sharjah, along with its affiliated centers in Khorfakkan and Al Dhaid, reached a significant milestone by hosting 80 major exhibitions that attracted nearly 3 million visitors from the UAE and beyond. 

Diverse and Impactful Events

The Centre's event portfolio spanned various sectors, including commerce, real estate, manufacturing, and culture. Notable events included:

• Sharjah International Book Fair: This flagship event recorded an impressive turnout of 1.82 million visitors, reinforcing its status as one of the world's largest book fairs. 

• Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show: Over two editions, this show attracted more than 150,000 visitors and featured 1,400 exhibitors, showcasing the latest trends in luxury timepieces and jewelry. 

• SteelFab: As the region's premier metalworking and steel fabrication exhibition, SteelFab brought together industry leaders to discuss advancements and innovations in the sector. 

• International Education Show: Drawing 25,000 visitors, this event convened 125 universities and academic institutions from over 20 countries, highlighting educational opportunities and fostering academic collaborations. 

• "Ethraa" Career Fair: Dedicated to the financial and banking sector, this fair featured over 100 entities from leading banks and financial institutions in the UAE, providing a platform for career development and networking. 

Expo Centre Sharjah has been proactive in enriching its annual events calendar by forming strategic partnerships with regional and global exhibition organizers. Notably, a partnership with MIE Events was established to launch the Evolve Future Mobility Show (EFMS) in 2025, focusing on promoting electric vehicles (EVs).

Additionally, an agreement with Pakistan-based "Education Scenario International" aims to enhance the participation of Pakistani educational institutions in upcoming editions of the International Education Show, fostering cross-border academic collaborations.

The achievements of Expo Centre Sharjah in 2024 underscore its role as a key driver of economic diversification and sustainable growth in Sharjah and the UAE. By hosting a diverse array of events, the Centre has solidified the emirate's position as a leading regional and global hub for exhibitions.

Looking ahead, Expo Centre Sharjah has outlined an ambitious events calendar for 2025, introducing new exhibitions such as the Evolve Future Mobility Show and the Dairy Tech Middle East exhibition, both making their debut in the emirate. 

The Centre's commitment to innovation and strategic partnerships is poised to further enhance its contributions to the UAE's economic landscape, attracting international participation and fostering growth across various sectors.
