The #DubaiDestinations campaign, organized by Brand Dubai, has returned to highlight Dubai's unique winter experiences. The campaign's third edition includes the inaugural Hatta Festival, a vibrant celebration of culture, sports, and entertainment in Dubai's picturesque mountain region. The festival, scheduled from 15-31 December, aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to transform Hatta into a prominent destination for business, investment, and tourism.
Key highlights of the campaign and Hatta Festival include:
1. Hatta Festival: The festival takes place at Leem Lake in Hatta and the Hatta Wadi Hub, offering unique winter recreational experiences against the backdrop of Hatta's scenic landscape. It aims to transform Hatta into an attractive local and international destination.
2. Campaign Goals: The #DubaiDestinations campaign aims to tell the story of Dubai's emergence as one of the world's best winter destinations. Dubai has been recognized as one of the top winter sun destinations globally.
3. Partnerships: Brand Dubai has partnered with the Supreme Committee Overseeing Hatta Development to launch the Hatta Festival. Collaborations with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), and other entities contribute to a comprehensive plan to develop the region and highlight its unique attractions.
4. Leem Lake: The festival's focal point, Leem Lake, is a three-hectare lake in the Hatta area, providing breathtaking views of landscapes and sunset scenes amidst the Hatta mountains.
5. Activities: The festival offers diverse activities for families and children, including traditional musical performances, light displays, food and beverage pop-ups, sports, live entertainment, and heritage tourism experiences.
6. Development Initiatives: Key development initiatives in Hatta focus on enhancing its tourism appeal and making it more attractive to visitors. Projects include biking trails, traffic solutions, parking expansions, and sustainable transport services.
7. Cultural and Heritage Experiences: The festival spotlights Hatta's unique cultural and heritage experiences, with plans for heritage and poetry competitions organized by the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center.
8. Media Coverage: Dubai Media is fully prepared to cover the festival's festivities, engaging with visitors through daily competitions organized on Dubai TV.
9. 'Proudly from Dubai Market’: Brand Dubai organizes a market at the festival to showcase the culinary concepts and products of 30 homegrown businesses from the ‘Proudly from Dubai’ network.
10. Photography Workshop: Brand Dubai hosts a photography workshop in partnership with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Awards (HIPA), including a competition for the best photo and video on Hatta.
11. Sporting Events: The festival includes sporting events, such as padel tennis courts, workshops, boutique indoor cycling studio collaborations, and community-focused activities over the weekends.
12. Parades and Convoys: A parade of classic cars and spirited motorcycle and bicycle convoys from Dubai to Hatta add exciting elements to the festival.
The campaign aims to enhance Dubai's global profile, showcasing its distinctive tourist destinations and inviting residents and visitors to be part of the story of Dubai's growth as a world-class winter destination.
